Building upon our ongoing series of sessions aimed at introducing the intricacies of research to our aspiring clinical-scientists, we had the privilege of hosting Dr. John from Duke University.
Dr. John’s presentation revolved around the challenges encountered by mentors and their mentees. He explored the dual approaches of structured and unstructured mentorship, delved into the art of conflict resolution, and stressed the importance of placing the “mentee” at the center of the mentorship journey. Additionally, Dr. John also shed light on the development of personal growth plans and the cultivation of essential mentoring soft skills.
