On September 2, 2025, NSIG proudly launched its inaugural Women in Neurosciences (WINS) Series with an inspiring session led by Dr. Sadaf Ahmed, Associate Professor at the University of Karachi, CEO of AEIRC, President-Elect of PASBAN, and Executive Member of World Women in Neuroscience.
In her talk, “From Lab to Leadership: A Journey of Resilience, Advocacy, and Inclusivity in Neuroscience,” Dr. Ahmed shared the milestones of her remarkable career from establishing Pakistan’s first Psychophysiology Research Lab to breaking barriers as PASBAN’s first elected female President. Her insights highlighted the importance of mentorship, representation, and creating opportunities for women and neurodivergent individuals in science.
The session set a powerful tone for the WINS Series, celebrating resilience and inclusive leadership in neuroscience. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Sadaf and to all the students who joined us for this milestone event.
