Dr. Halima Tabani is a highly qualified medical professional with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Aga Khan University in 2010. She has a strong background in neurosurgery and completed her Neurosurgery Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Tabani’s clinical and academic interests are diverse, including Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, Skull Base Surgery, Brain Tumors, Women in Neurosurgery, and Global Neurosurgery.

Dr. Tabani has gained valuable experience working in various healthcare settings, including as a Junior Specialist at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in 2020. During her time at UCSF, she demonstrated a commitment to her field through her involvement in research, which focused on improving patient outcomes in neurosurgery. She also has experience as a Pre-Residency Fellow in Neurosurgery in the Greater New York City Area in 2020. Dr. Tabani’s ultimate goal is to become an academic cerebrovascular neurosurgeon involved in research, resident education, and promoting neurosurgery in low-resource countries.
