Laghari, Altaf Ali

Dr. Altaf Ali Laghari is an Assistant Professor and consultant neurosurgeon at the Aga Khan University Hospital. He completed his MBBS from the Liaquat University of Medical Health Science Jamshoro in 2005 and his residency from the Aga Khan University Hospital in 2015. Dr. Laghari then pursued a fellowship in Surgical Neuro-Oncology at the Aga Khan University and completed it in 2018. He is a recipient of the best fellow award and a visiting fellow at St George’s hospital, London awarded by the British Society of Neurosurgery. He completed a Ph.D. in clinical sciences at Aga Khan University, Karachi. His research interests include clinical and basic science research in glioblastoma and its serum microRNA prognostic markers. Dr. Laghari is a keen mentor to students and residents alike and an active researcher.
