Hani, Ummey

Dr. Hani is an Academic Associate in the Pakistan Academy of Neurological Surgery (PANS) and a Research Associate in the Department of Surgery, Section of Neurosurgery, at the Aga Khan University. After graduating from medical school at Sindh Medical College in 2021, she completed her internship at Aga Khan University as the Batch Valedictorian and one of the 5 best interns.  Hani is an avid academic and has published 17 research papers in peer-reviewed journals, and a book chapter for Elsevier, which is currently in publishing. Her research interest lies mainly in neurosurgical outcomes, brain tumors, and complex spine, and her abstracts have been accepted in national and international neurosurgical meetings in the form of 1 oral and 8 poster presentations. Hani is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), USA. She is moving to Charlotte, North Carolina, in the US, soon, as a Neurosurgery Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine Associates, Atrium Health University, where she’ll be working on surgical outcomes research in Spine.
