Shamim, M. Shahzad

Prof M. Shahzad Shamim MCPS, MRCS, FCPS, FRCS (Glas), FRCS (Eng), FRCS (Ed), FEBNS, FACS is an Endowed Professor and Head of Neurosurgery at the Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi. He has more than 20 years of experience in academic neurosurgery and is a faculty member of prominent global neurosurgical associations. His research interests include Neurosurgery Training, Global Neurosurgery, and Neuro-oncology. He has pioneered the use of 3D printed implants for craniofacial defects in Pakistan and has also received a patent for an innovative device that offers ambulatory monitoring of CSF pressure. With more than 300 papers and 4000 citations, he is one of the region’s most published and cited neurosurgeons.
