Ashfaq, Dahir

Dahir Ashfaq is a 4th-year MBBS student at the Aga Khan University, Karachi. His research interest lies primarily in neurosurgery, with a focus on neuro-oncology and neurosurgical outcomes, with extensive experience in systematic reviews and meta-analyses. He is actively involved in academic leadership through the Neuroscience Interest Group (NSIG), where he has served in multiple roles including Head of Events and General Secretary.

He has contributed to numerous national and international neurosurgical conferences through oral and poster presentations, with abstracts accepted for presentation at the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) Annual Meeting and the World Federation of Neuro-Oncology Societies (WFNOS) Annual Meeting. He is a co-author of several peer-reviewed publications.

He is currently focusing on neurosurgical research and aspires to pursue a career in academic neurosurgery.
