Mahmood, Asim

Dr. Mahmood is a highly accomplished neurosurgeon with an impressive educational background. He obtained his MBBS degree from King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan in 1982, before moving to the United Kingdom to pursue further studies. There, he earned his Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Scotland. After completing his studies in the UK, Dr. Mahmood pursued his residency in neurosurgery at Henry Ford Hospital, Michigan, and then went on to do a fellowship in skull base surgery at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Additionally, Dr. Mahmood has completed several other fellowships throughout his career, including a fellowship in Neurosurgical Research at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in New York in 1985, a fellowship in Neurosurgical Clinic at Long Island College Hospital in New York in 1986, and a fellowship in Neurooncology at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan in 1988. In 1993, Dr. Mahmood continues to work today as a senior staff member at Henry Ford Hospital. He is not only an expert clinician but also an accomplished researcher, with a particular focus on traumatic brain injury. With his vast experience and expertise, Dr. Mahmood currently holds the position of Director of Neuro-Trauma.
