Hashim, Abdul Sattar

Prof. Abdul Sattar Hashim is the Managing Director of Neuro-Spinal and Medical Institute with over 26 years of experience. Dr. Hashim did his MBBS from Sindh Medical College, Karachi in 1980. After completing his house job in 1982, he pursued his neurosurgery training in Japan till 1987. For a decade, he served as the Honorary visiting neurosurgeon at Pakistan International Airlines Medical Centre. He also worked as a Professor of neurosurgery at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre till 2014. Meanwhile, in 1995, he established Neurospinal and Medical Institute. This institute also serves as the center of Excellence of the Radiosurgery facility of Gamma knife and X-Knife. Moreover, with a great interest in neurosurgical research, Dr. Hashim has numerous national and international publications. His major areas of interest include neurovascular surgery, spinal surgery, neuro-oncology, neuro-endoscopy, epilepsy surgery, and stereotactic and functional neurosurgery.
